Today we closed Significant Other and I had to say goodbye to Helene, Jordan, and all of his friends/co-workers and while I am so sad that it’s time to say goodbye to this production, I’m so happy that I don’t have to say goodbye to these incredible new friends/family that I have found over the past few weeks.
Helene was such a special character to grow with (I hope I can be as cool and stylish as her when I’m older) not only because my own grandma is the first “Helene” in my life (that’s her actual name, no lie), but she reminds me so much of my wonderful great-grandmother. I noticed last night backstage that I actually kind of matched with her in the pictures I had in my dressing room so I wanted to make sure I documented the moment.
From a kick-butt electric blue tracksuit, a bob that I can rock any day, but most importantly all of the wonderful people I had the chance to meet and work with, Significant Other will be a show I’m not likely to forget any time soon. Thank you to my cast mates and the crew for being the best possible people I could have worked with, and a HUGE thank you to our audiences for letting us share this story with you.
Okay, sappy closing post over. I am so grateful and my heart is so full because this has been an amazing chapter in an incredibly long book. I remember all the times…which is a good thing because I certainly don’t want to forget a single moment of this entire process.
