Breaking Up with First Date at the University of Tampa

This past Sunday we closed our production of First Date at the University of Tampa and needless to say, I’m going through all the feels. This show, the cast, the crew, the story that we got to go out and share with four (plus some) fantastic audiences last week is so special and I cannot even begin to explain how grateful I am to have gotten to know Casey over these past few weeks and share her with you.

A huge thank you to my incredible director Karla Hartley for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful production. Her direction helped push me as a performer in ways I haven’t been pushed before and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her on sharing Casey’s story.

Thank you to the cast & crew for allowing each and every performance to be an opportunity to just have fun on stage and for making this experience so memorable.

Thank you to our awesome audiences for coming out to support us night after night! Sharing this story with you all was so special and I won’t be forgetting it anytime soon.

Finally, a very special thank you to Casey. Girl, we’ve come a very long way and it has been nothing short of an honor getting to share your story with everyone. You’ve inspired personal growth in myself both as a person and performer and you will absolutely be one of those characters who has shaped me as a person and performer for many years to come. It’s been a wild ride but thanks for letting me jump onto your crazy roller coaster and teaching me a thing or two along the way.

All this to say, I wish this something could have lasted a little longer. Although it’s been short and sweet, First Date will be with me for a very long time to come.

Here is a look at some of the production pictures that were taken before my last minute costume change. You can still get the full picture of what an amazing show it was though!
